In 1946, Bob Harrell and Orville Greene founded the Greene & Harrell Chapel at 221 E. Kirkwood Ave in Bloomington, Indiana. Orville Greene past away in 1967, but Bob continued to serve families at the Kirkwood location until 1974.

In 1971, Ron Deremiah and Don Frye joined Bob Harrell at the Kirkwood location. In 1976, the present building was constructed and Ron and Don opened it as Deremiah-Frye Mortuary / Greene & Harrell Chapel. Bob retired in 1971 yet continued to serve families with Don and Ron until his death in the late 1980s.

Today, Ron Deremiah and Don Frye continue to serve the entire Bloomington community at this location.
